I spent a long time as a student (but I quite enjoyed it…) I did an undergrad degree in Scotland which was 4 years then a doctorate which was another 4 years. I then did an on-job NHS training scheme which led directly into the career I have now (3.5 years training).

      Hi Clíodhna,

After school I did 4 years at university. I then went to work in a company as a medical research engineer, so I could say I was qualified after 4 years. But then I decided I wanted to learn about how to do research better so I am now back at university studying again for another 4 years.

      Best wishes,
      Sophie

I am not fully qualified in my job. I don’t think anyone ever is fully qualified in what they do. In my field something new comes out every day and I have to keep up with those updates
