I got interested in science at a very early age, when I realised that I wanted to know what all the things are made of. My family and my friends were quite influential as well

I had a book about science when I was a little kid and I thought it was so cool. I also liked taking my toys apart and trying to put them back together again. Learning how stuff worked… guess engineering was the right job for me. The tv was great for inspiration as well…

      Hi Elodie,

I got interested in science when I was little because the university in my home town held a science festival for the whole town and we used to go along and you could do really fun experiments, and make rockets and slime. Experiments and finding things out have always been my favourite bits of science, I was worried for a while that engineers and scientists didn’t get to do experiments but if you get the right job – you can!

      Hi,
I’ve always loved the natural world and so wanted to know more. My Mum would take me to a lot of science events and encourage me to learn also.

My sisters were studying science subjects and it was because of them I wanted to learn more. So always paid more attention to science during gcse.
