I have travelled up and down UK for my research whether its learning or presenting. however, last September I went to Lyon in France to present my research that was amazing and scary. it was an amazing opportunity for which i was very grateful for.

I go to conferences, festivals, and exhibitions with my work sometimes to other countries or cities within UK. I usually present my work there and demonstrate robots

I have been lucky and been to conferences in Seattle, San Diego and Europe. During conferences lots of research groups from across the world meet to discuss our work, form new collaboration groups and come up with new ideas for research. It’s a great chance to meet people and make new friends.

      Hi Soph,

So far in my current job I haven’t been outside the UK, although I have been to a few different places to meet with other engineers to discuss projects and to learn from each other. Hopefully next year I will get to go abroad to meet even more engineers.

However I used to work as a sailing instructor in Spain which was pretty cool.

      Best wishes,
      Sophie

Been sent as far as Scotland and Bristol to attend conferences/exhibitions within the UK (I’m based in Nottingham). I had the chance to go to Austin Texas, USA last year which was cool, that was to attend the biggest 3D printing conference. My first time in America as well so I took a 3 week holiday there!
