Begin your journey with easy things. In mechanical engineering, fundamental theory is very important, because later subjects and theory are built on each other. Start with forces and how these affect physical objects. Then you will be able to move to fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Depends on how deep into theoretical mechanics you would want to go, but knowing basics you will already be able to work with robots if you would want to 🙂
Maths and physics are probably good subjects to choose but the best way to check you are picking the right subjects to get into college or uni (if that’s what you would like to do) is to look at the college/uni websites and guides for students. These will tell you what you need to get in :). It might also be good to try and get some work experience with mechanical engineers so you can see if you will enjoy it!
