That is a good question. One of a problem in Finance (not just here, even worse in Germany) is that the systems are very old and require a lot of support which costs a lot. That means for you as a consumer, you have to pay that. So if you want to save money, you, of course, have to pay those companies who provide that service. So what we are trying to build is a software that will be flexible and easy to maintain and will reduce that cost. I think it is so important that all people have access to good saving options, not just the ones that can afford it.
I guess that is the goal and while doing that, we are building a company here in the Southwest that will create jobs for people. We started out with 4 last year and we are 12 now. I know that is not super big scale, but it is a start. My colleagues and I are also supporting local training programmes that help people to retrain as software developers and we are looking to work with an organisation in Bristol that helps women to get back into work after they had kids.
This is all very exciting and I hope we can do more in the future.
