I didn’t have much interest at school for the traditional sports. I did enjoy mountain biking and occasionally racing. Now I’m a keen runner and I also enjoy triathlons.
I used to play handball through most of my school years and hockey until the end of my undergrad. I now play basketball casually with friends every Wednesday night. I am also learning to windsurf. I was never exceptionally good at sports, I guess more average to slightly above average. I really enjoy them though, especially group sports. The feeling you get after a game, whether you win or lose, is just amazing!
Yes and no. In my life I jumped across different sports: swimming, taekwondo, tennis, biking…. the one I liked the most is fencing and, when I was less busy, I was used to participate in UK national competitions and I ended up in the national ranking (with a position >100) for a little while. Than I had to stop. I would define myself a mediocre athlete but I do enjoy sports and I like to practice them competitively to fairly win competitions and challenges
I was not good at running (I don’t think that is a sport anyway), but I was great team sport like volleyball or handball and I love anything to do with rackets, i.e. badminton and table tennis. It helps that I am super competitive 🙂 — My colleague and myself recently discovered we both played Badminton in school and naturally we both were the best, so we had a game to figure it out. Turns out we were evenly matched and it is still super awesome
