Question: were you good as a fencer?

I would say that I was a decent fencer, considering that I started fairly late. I started fencing in Italy when I was a high school student. My home city does not have good fencing schools and I decided to stop at some point. After 10 years I started over fencing in the UK and I was used to participate in national fencing competitions (Millet Hallet in London, others near Birmingham and Bristol). I never won a competition (yet) but I was used to be in the UK rankings (if you are too bad you don’t even show up there). As I got too busy with my studies, I had to drop again but I am planning to restart as soon as my PhD is over but this time I am very determined to win! 🙂 Fencing gave me a lot on the personal side and it will be a true shame just to let it go because of a busy time
