I love being an engineer because I get to think about and try out new solutions to different problems every day. I’ve work on building sites and design offices and really like the fact that every day is different and i’m constantly learning new things. I’m interested in Sustainability and how we make the best use of what we have and what new technologies we can use to make things more efficient in the future so that we use less power and emit less greenhouse gases to reduce the impacts of climate change.
I have two horses and enjoy riding them after work and competing at the weekend. I also enjoy taking our black Labrador out for walks even if he is a mud monster and will wallow in muddy puddles at every opportunity!

Creating plans and undertaking work can take a long time in infrastructure so i might be planning one project in the morning and having meetings with people to talk through the plans and then in the afternoon i could be visiting a site where we’ve tried something new which we were planning a year ago!
