• Question: How flammable are christmas trees and does it change when their fully decorated with lights and tinsel ?

      Hi,
      Christmas trees are very flammable if they are very dry (so after they have been in the house for a few weeks). The tinsel and lights don’t make much difference but the lights could cause the ignition if they are broken or faulty.

      Artificial, plastic trees do not burn very well at all so they are much safer.
