• Question: I know that crystals have specialised cells so could you actually manage to make a man made one? Can you Somehow duplicate or immitate the cells?

      I am not too sure about this one either. I do know that we are now able to modify cells to make them behave in new ways. Its a process called Synthetic Biology. There is huge potential but as engineers we will also have to answer some fundamental moral questions around this.

      I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to this either – but you’ve inspired a google search so I’m now off to find some info for this on the internet!
      Perhaps you could try searching too? I’m sure there’s lots of info out there on this!
