Question: what do you like about fire safety engeneering

Hi Chris,

Fire safety is a really interesting subject. It combines a lot of different sciences – chemistry, physics and maths. It also has direct impact on so many things in how buildings are designed e.g. how wide a staircase has to be, the stuff you use to build the building and even how many people are allowed inside the building. These are really important issues that mean I get to work with interesting people like architects and other engineers.

Please take care and never play with fire – it is very dangerous!
