• Question: what grades do you need to be an engineer

      Hi Claire,

      There are many different types of engineering and the will determine the kind of grades you need.

      It will depend on if you want to study engineering at college or University or if you would be interested in an apprenticeship or training on the job. Universities and colleges advertise what grades they want and apprentice schemes will advise on the entrance requirements.

      Obviously good grades in maths and science are important but enthusiasm and passion are important too!
