I live with my family in Wilmslow. Been a Mechanical Engineer since graduating from University of Bath in 1987 and worked in various industries, including textile machinery, plastics moulding and, for the last 14 years, the nuclear industry. In my spare time I play drums in a band which regularly plays gigs, play badminton, go for walks and look after my garden.

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
Engineer and drummer
What's the best thing you've done in your career?
Wrote some software that allowed a customer to simply analyse a weekly mass of machinery error logs, to identify where maintenance was most needed.
What or who inspired you to follow your career?
Loved cars as a kid and used to help my older sister maintain her first cars.
What was your favourite subject at school?
Maths!
