• Question: Hi i know its a big question but do you ever think you could make a big an invention as the Iphone?

      I’d like to. I don’t think one person invented the iphone though, it was probably a combination of different people’s ideas and inventions.

      I want to invent an alternative to umbrellas. They are so old fashioned and I always break or lose my umbrella. Maybe it could be like a water repellent bubble that follows you around.

      The iPhone is a “fusion” of many inventions that have “evolved” over nearly 100 years. It is a fantastic design and brilliant concept, combining the telephone with the computer, and we’d really miss it if it disappeared. However, its not strictly an invention, in the one-off “Eureka!” moment sense of the word. As an incremental advance in technology, yes, I believe my work will contribute in a similar, significant way to the future tools that engineers will use.
