Mine took 4 years at University, which gave me a Master’s degree in Chemical engineering. Some people do 3 years and get something called a Bachelor’s degree.
I’m Irish and of course we do things a bit differently. It took me 4 years to get my Bachelors in Engineering. I then did a PhD in Mechanical Engineering which took another 3.5 years. But I’ve been in the University system since….well let’s just say a long time – my family think I must be a bit slow 🙂
A typical engineering degree at the University of Manchester is 3 or 4 years. That’ll start you off very nicely in a great career and you could work in some really amazing companies.
My path through life has been a little bit unconventional. I have 4 degrees and that took about 14 years to achieve through a mixture of full time and part time courses.
I do get asked by my friends “Are you still at University?”, followed by giggles.
