Question: what does 'geotechnical' mean ?

Hi @Baby Blue. Geotechnical Engineering is engineering applied to the ground. For example, a Geotechnical Engineer works out what type of foundation a building or bridge might need. The design of the foundation can be very different if the ground is made out of clay or sand or rock. Foundations are typically made out of concrete. But sometimes Geotechnical Engineers use textiles to make the ground stronger and then they have to work with specialist textile designers.
