• Question: What is the average wage for an engineering?

      I just searched this quickly on the internet, apparently the average wage is £35,000 per year.

      For a chemical engineer, the starting salary for a graduate (so someone who is about 23 years old) is £28,000 and this goes up to about £70,000 per year as they progress in their job over the next 20 years or so.

      But any good engineer will tell you… we’re not paid enough! (But I’m sure that will be applied to any job!)

      In a university, the standard payscale for an engineer ranges from £30k to £70k, depending on the stage in the career. An exceptional engineer has no upper limit of salary and I know Professors who earn £200k +
