I don’t think there is a minimum number of GCSE’s that you need in order to become an engineer. You will probably your English Maths and Science GCSE’s to be at least passes, if you want to become an engineer through apprenticeships. If you’re thinking of going to university you will have to do A-Levels, and most colleges/sixth forms will need you to have decent GCSE’s related to the A-Levels you will be choosing. I think the best way to find out is to look on the websites of the apprenticeship schemes or Sixth forms/ Colleges and look at their minimum requirements. Hope that helps, and let me know if you have any more questions!
