  Yes! The type of math and modeling framework that I’m using can be applied to many different sorts of diseases. In fact, my peers in my lab are working on similar sorts of questions for different health conditions. For instance, some of them are trying to predict the way that people recover after surgery, and others are trying to predict severity for patients in intensive care. The biggest hurdle is usually obtaining enough high-quality data to enable good modeling.
  
  Is there a particular disease that you are interested in?
