      Hi osama,
      I’ve worked with other engineers to test hip and knee replacements – to make sure they won’t wear out and will work properly in patients. As we get older the soft tissue which covers our bones (cartilage) can wear away, and once this happens it becomes pretty painful. Hip and knee replacements are used to treat this damage (arthritis) and stop the patients being in pain.
      Something I’m working on at the moment is a special jig for using with MRI and X-ray machines – it will allow us to apply a load to the foot so we can see what the foot and ankle looks like when you’re standing up – even though for the scanner you have to lie down. This is important to help us understand how all the bones and joints work when they’re loaded.

      Hey osama,

      By ‘object’ I’m going to guess you mean ‘products’ or maybe even ‘devices’. In which case I’ve worked on dozens. Mostly inhalers for patients to breathe drugs into their lungs, auto-injector pens for patients to inject drugs quickly in an emergency and also a needle-free injector to treat patients who are scared of needles.
