I work in research (before the product/intervention gets used by the public) so my work will hopefully help people in about 10 years! One project from our research group that provides a mobile tool for monitoring blood glucose levels (for people who are diabetic) during pregnancy has now been adopted by four NHS centers in England as standard practice (so several thousand people). It will most likely grow fast in the next few years, which is exciting.
In general, how many patients have been helped? Very hard to quantify! Lots!
