• Question: If you couldn`t be a biological engineer, what type of engineer would you be and why?

      Hi Charlotte,

      That’s a tricky one. I’m not so interested in the other main types of engineering… I would probably do what I call “engineering science” which is mainly applied maths. So this would be either optimising a system – maybe you monitor the traffic lights at a busy intersection, and you want to optimise the time that each set of lights are on so that the maximum number of cars get through the intersection; Or mathematical modelling – like modelling blood flow through an artery. (I’ve brought it back to biomedical engineering again – you can tell that I’d struggle to be as interested in anything else!).
