      Hi Megan, Elly and nockout,
      There are lots of things to consider when choosing new materials – depending on what it’s going to be used for you’ll need to think about things like it’s weight, fibre content such as cotton or polyester or a blend of different types, how it feels in your hand or against the skin as well as how it looks. You might also want it to do particular things like be water resistant so it might need a coating added to it at the end. So, as you can see, you often have quite a long list of requirements which you need to work with factories to tick off!
