      Last week I delivered two new mobile phones to our midwives. They use mobile phones to record respiratory rate – the phone sits on the chest of the patient, and the inbuilt accelerometer and gyroscope picks up the movement of the chest while breathing. Its really clever and has great potential to be a low cost way of recording respiratory rate.
