• Question: Are there any engineering jobs that have something to do with sports?

      I’ve not really seen them personally, but yes they exist, there is a whole field called “sports engineering” which is about the equipment and facilities used in sports, and I imagine they work closely with “sports science” which is more to do with the biological side of things.

    I can give you an example: I have a colleauge who has created a whole body suit covered with sensors. When the athlete wears this suit and goes swimming, the sensors record the body motion – then the engineers can help the athlete improve the swimming style and efficiency.
