It would have to be the robotic system I developed during my PhD studies, which was aimed to assist a surgeon do her/his job better when doing a tele-operated surgery. I made a hand exoskeleton that the surgeon can wear and which senses the motion of the fingers, records it and then sends it to a surgical instrument which also has robotic ‘fingers’ (like a miniature robot hand). The robotic instrument imitates what the surgeon’s hands and fingers are doing. This way, the surgeon could do more surgeries (even more complex surgeries) and more efficiently – however as this is research work, it is still under development and being improved!
