      As Carmel said, cells are the building blocks of your body, and also of other living things: plants, animals, ….

      There are different types of cells and they can have different functions (for example skin cells are to protect your body from things outside of it, and muscle cells help you move).

      Like the others have said cells are the building blocks that make up your body, they’re also the smallest living things, so you can’t break a cell down any further and still have something that will make a living creature.
