My work has taken me to: Sweden, Finland, Norway, France, Germany, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Holland, Ireland, Russia, Belarus, Italy, Libya, Morocco, UAE, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Mauritius, South Africa and USA. There might be a few more but thats quite a lot. These have been for visits, meetings, presentations etc not really to live for a long time.
I haven’t been to abroad for work reasons – the opportunity hasn’t arisen yet. But I’ve been to quite a number of countries for travelling, nearly all of them are developing nations.
Loads – mainly for work. You travel a lot to work with people abroad, especially the States (NASA) and Europe (ESA).
Been to California, Texas, Maryland, Virginia, Mexico, Morocco, Spain, Italy, all over France, Germany, Austria, Iceland, Puerto Rico. Oh, and Scotland. That counts.
Yes for work and play. For work we go testing every year to Finland (-30 degC), Italy (+40 degC) and Spain (2500metre). We have to test the vehicles that we work on in different conditions to make sure that nothing goes wrong, I have even been to Tenerife on a work trip.
Basically you have to make sure that your product will work in the Market where it will be sold so this can mean anywhere in the world…South America, Asia, Africa and so on.
My company is Austrian so I also go over there each year for meetings and presentations plus the occasional visit to our facility in France.
