Pay off my mortgage first! Donate half of the money to good causes, and start getting confused about what to do with the rest! 🙂
To be honest, I have no idea what to do with the rest – it is because there are so much I’d like to do, I’d have a real hard time deciding! On impulse I’d want to ride motorbikes and climb mountains (perhaps I could try riding them up??), but ask me the same question tomorrow, I probably will give a different answer!
I honestly don’t really know. I do know some people with kind of unlimited funds but they are also very modest in their outlook and material possessions. What does excercise them is how to keep their money and how to spend it. Basically ‘winning the lottery’ seems to solve one set of problems but create a brand new set that you didn’t even know about. Of course you can be comfortable and not worry about key things like somewhere to live and what to eat but it turns out that having friends and enjoying life is not something you can easily buy.
Buy a house, and a ticket to space. Apparently you can do that now.
Also, I’d donate some to my old college – I was able to get through college on a scholarship from someone else, so it would be great to give that back to another student.
I’d buy a house, and a few nice cars. I’d make friends and family comfortable, and go on some nice holidays.
If I won a really big amount (like the Euromillions) I’d give up work and follow F1 around the world for a few years as a fan. I’d spend the rest of my time volunteering I think – the people who get the chance to go help build schools etc in developing countries must find it very rewarding and it’s probably a better use of my time than just enjoying myself!
