Yeah it is, even though at times it probably doesn’t feel like that! When I was at school I thought all teachers just wanted to take the fun out of life – but all definitely worth it. After all this country depends on the next generation of school-leavers on becoming engineers!
Hmmmmmmmmmm, you kind of have to do it really to be on the career path and a solid future. The engineering instistutions have ways and means to accept other routes but it takes a lot of time. Id say best to bite the bullet early rather than late……….
Not just for engineering – for whatever you decide to do. If you want to try to learn new things as an adult, they make you pay through the nose, and there is never enough time.
Of course, that assumes you need a-levels and university for the career you want, and that’s not always the case. Easy enough to find out though – Google is your friend 🙂
I think if you really want to have a particular career, no matter what it is, then the extra time to get the qualifications you need, is worth it in the end. Its horrible to be stuck in a job you hate!
