• Question: What is it like to work as an engineer?

      Its really interesting, and very rewarding. It generally is quite busy and some jobs can be very varied, it all depends on the type of engineering.

      I work with computer simulations so it isn’t very varied but that doesn’t stop it being interesting. It is hard work as you need to concentrate and use your brain all day, but that is a good thing!

    It’s hard work as need to concentrate all day, and some of the problems to overcome are quite difficult. But there is lots of support, work colleagues to ask and more experienced people to explain things if there is something I don’t understand. So it’s very rare that anything feels impossible – occasionally it feels like that, but there’s always small bitesized chunks that you can work on to break it down, until it’s completed.
