In my early career I managed to see a bit of the world working with the Ministry of Defence Navy with assignments on land and at sea. Later working in the Petro Chemical industry I visited a number of countries including USA, Europe and the Middle East. I was also fortunate to spend three years in Thailand where I met my Wife and had a Daughter. I enjoy motor sports and ocean sailing (when I get a chance).

My early career was with the Ministry of Defence design the electrical systems for warships and submarines. I then progressed to the Petro Chemical Industry where I worked on the electrical systems associated with refineries and pharmaceutical facilities (including three years as Chief Electrical Engineer for a Company in Thailand). For the last 20 years I have been working in the Data Centre sector delivering projects the provide facilities for the support of the internet across the UK, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

My Typical Day: At the moment I seem to spend at lot of the day on Teams calls with Clients and the design team which can be a bit intense switching from one project o another. Safe to say it is not boring! If I am not on calls / meetings I am reviewing designs / creating new ways of delivering power within the facilities that we are designing.

What I'd do with the money
Given the challenges in education at the moment I would donate the money to support local schools that needed equipment for their students.
