My family are the reason I am what I am today. My mum gave me something to strive towards as she is very successful in her career and my Dad gave me the drive and belief to succeed.
Beyond them it has been my friends and colleagues along my career journey. Everyday is a learning day and everyone you meet is a chance to learn something from. You have to have that ambition, desire and courage to learn and being passionate about technology made is so much easier.
I think it was the interest in the work i actually do, i enjoy my work and find it interesting. Because of this i wanted to put the hard work in, and then found my career path due to becoming a key player within my business. I also found that being confident and working well with others aloud me to earn trust in my colleagues.
This is an interesting question and speaks so much to life. I would like to think I am not just one thing, but different identities to many. Every one that I have meet, worked with, gown up with have all been a part and fabrication of who I am today. My enthusiasm and curiosity about electricity and electronics inspired my start as an electrical power engineer; my interest in science and learning from multiple teachers in school; my continued interest in engineering. from my first engineering work experience; my principles, approach to life, drive, passion are from my family; my approach to customer services from my summer job; my activeness and sports are from friends all throughout my life; my project management and multi-tasking skill from family and a previous managing director; my technical capabilities to this level from colleagues; and I could go on.
I think it is important to always be aware of one’s environment, learn the positive outcomes, improve on them, and look forward to sharing what you have learnt with others.
