I started my career at the age of 16! I completed my GCSE exams in 2002 and then joined the Royal Air Force to start an apprenticeship in Aircraft Engineering. I don’t even think I was shaving at that point!

I started when I was 24 straight after my 3rd year of university. It is never too late. University came when I was 21.

I did work experience in engineering and summer placements before and throughout University so from the age of 18, however my first “proper” engineering job was after 4 years of University when I was 23.
