If you mean things i have invented then i am quite pleased with my control system that takes in signls from many thousands of sensors and then decides that it is safe to let our £250 million accelerator run all within a 100th of a second. I didn’t design all of it but led the team that did, had a big hand in the design and commissioning of it all and now support it.
I am impressed with TESLA – which is an electric car. I am also impressed with the rockets that SpaceX builds. They are low cost very reliable rockets!
Dear kierafeighery,
The Thames Barrier. It is one of the largest movable flood barriers in the world. Come and visit the Thames Barrier: https://www.gov.uk/the-thames-barrier.
I think that the Boston Dynamics Big Dog is incredible (http://www.bostondynamics.com/robot_bigdog.html). It is a robot which moves a bit like a dog and is able to go over obstacles and even get back up if pushed over!
Well, there are plenty of inventions that happened in the world that I appreciate very much, like a simple bulb or a wheel. However, the most recent would be electric cars, solar energy. These are all great innovations and technology that is available now with little impact on the world and great future!
Look at this amazing car:
This is a fully electric car with no engine and it can do 0 to 60mph in 3.1s. This is the future! I hope I answered your question.
