      Hi,
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go on some engineering taster courses when I was at school and they really gave me an understanding of what engineering was and also I was able to meet professional engineers, these courses and the people on them are really what inspired me.

To be honest I’ve never regretted the decision to be an engineer, and even if one day I decide to do a job which is not practical applied engineering I would still use all the skills I learnt through being an engineer.

      Hi
I have always like building things and fixing things so it seemed like the obvious choice. Also i see engineering as a worthwhile pursuit where you can really contrinute and make a difference. I often look at other proffesions and think that if we were stuck on a desert Island we coul easily do without this proffesion or that but things like Doctors, Nurses, Scientist, Engineers, Builders and Farmers we would really need.
On Bear Grylls the Island they didn’t need too many Feng Shui consultants 😉
There will always be the what if questions and at times i do wonder how things would have turned out if i had followed another path but always better to regret things you have done than things you haven’t!

      Hi!

I was inspired when I was a kid. I did a lot of practical building using LEGO. I always was looking for a solution to problems and I was thrilled by car/plane/train accidents. I was wondering how to improve them so that we could avoid crashes or minimise the effects. On the other hand, I love maths and I feel that I am an engineering mathematician, so I hope to combine those two in the future into something unique and life changing.

I feel very motivated and driven by engineering. Therefore, I do not regret my decision.

      Thanks!

Hi Amber – I was inspired by my godfather, he was an engineer in the RAF too and always told me about how cool his job was and the places he had been too with work. I don’t ever worry about having made the wrong decision, I’ve loved every minute of being an engineer and wouldn’t swap it for the world!
