Question: best invention ever created??

I think the steam engine:
– It kickstarted a huge industrial revolution and gave us some excellent engineers
– It promoted an understanding of thermodynamics and mechanical systems which still helps us today
– It began the process through trains and steam ships of making the world small, which both made collaboration easier, and led to the standardisation of time
