• Question: would you ever consider designing a bmx

      Yes, I would consider it. I don’t think it’s likely I’d end up doing it because there are only 2 large bike manufacturers in the UK and neither of them make BMXs. But who knows!

      If I did, I’d need to learn a lot because my riding style is more touring and road cycling. Those are about efficient riding. So BMX riders need quite different things, they’ll be looking for control, traction, stuff like that.

      Design Engineers often work on products they may not use themselves. I’m lucky that I work on a bike that I also use and enjoy.
