Not at all! In fact, I didn’t even know what engineering really was until I started looking at what to study at University.

Since I was about 15 I think, but it wasn’t until I was about 18 that I started working in engineering. Before that (and even a bit now) I wanted to be a pilot!

I actually wanted to be an air hostess up until secondary school. Then during sixth form is when i started looking into engineering.

Yes, I have always loved planes and engines. Also loved doing airfix kits of planes when I was younger too. I’ve always wanted to find out what all the parts of an engine do and how they are connected. These days, I can use the Trent 1000 app (which can be found on the google store) to find out all the fun facts about how a Trent 1000 engine works.

Yes, I have wanted to be an engineer for as long as I can remember! I am one of the lucky ones who has always known what I wanted. I know for most you need to discover it for yourself.
