My job becomes difficult when we have technical issues with our network. Or if the engineers try to corrupt the weekly on call sheet (the excel spreadsheets which is completed by the managers and the engineers to let us know which engines need engineer cover whilst they’re on test and who is available to cover them) by trying to edit the coding which runs in the background.

Similar to Nadine, making things work! A lot of the time we have equipment problems and figuring out why it’s not working then how to fix it can be a challenge. Once it is actually working, running experiments and analysing data isn’t so difficult!

The Flight Control System of the F-35B is unique in that there aren’t any other aircraft that use a control system as complex or integrated with the rest of the aircraft as this one – whilst I can use my previous aircraft experience to interpret most things, there was, and still is, a lot to learn about the whole system.

I would say collaborating with different teams – most of my team are based in offshore in India so finding suitable times to talk to them and complete tasks can be quite hard
