• Question: when you first got your job what were your thoughts about it?

      Definitely “Hmm, how do I do this?!” It took a while to break down what the project meant and decide what experiments to do. Because of this, I was initially a bit confused by it but, over time, I learnt what to do and now I love it!

      i was very nervous and didnt know what to expect. i knew it would be very challenging and push me to my limits

      Wow – this is complicated!! I still think that now, but I have worked hard to understand it as best I can – I think that being an engineer, you are always learning new things!

    I was really excited, my apprenticeship was a great opportunity for me to learn whilst studying for a degree. I was also very nervous that i wouldn’t know enough and struggle to understand the work that I was doing.

    Excited!! I joined the company as a secretary which I really didn’t enjoy. That involved arranging meetings and booking rooms, which wasn’t me. I was more interested in learning about the jet engine work. So I was in my element when I was given the opportunity to work directly with the engines.
