And it’s difficult, when I trained as a Tool maker (20 odd years ago) it really suited my personality making incredibly precise and accurate parts, it took a lot of time but very satisfying.
I’ve had to learn over the years to put that perfectionist side of me to one side and learn and teach myself to make things more efficiently.
A good mantra I use now is “is it fit for purpose” as some of the kit I make now only has to last a few experiments to see if it will work so spending hours and hours on something like that isn’t a good use of time.
