• Question: have you ever used a 3d drawing program, if so what would you advise me to use (im 13)

      I’ve used them a bit, but not much. I think AutoCad and Catia are the industry leaders, but they’re commensurately expensive. I used Google SketchUp for some DIY stuff, and they’ve got loads of introductory videos on YouTube to get you started. I’d kick off with that if I were you.

      I’ve personally used SolidWorks at university and that was pretty easy to pick up and there are loads of tutorials on youtube as well.
      Also it can be used to design stuff to be 3D printed if thats something you’re interested in. I know they give out student licenses but that may be something you’d have to look into.

      SolidWorks is a good one to get started on because you’ll get a free trial from the internet and loads of help from youtube to start modelling. Also, it’s similar to most engineering industry programs. My advice is to start on easy solids and work your way towards assemblies. Good luck!
