• Question: If you're female do people respect you being an engineer

      Yes, but people will not assume your an engineer but generally respect it when you tell them and are always impressed about the fact you do such a highly regarded job.

      I generally find that people are surprised because there aren’t many females in engineering. But as Dominique says, engineering is a highly respected job so regardless of being male or female, people are usually impressed!
