• Question: What does a chartered engineer mean?

      Hi there! Thanks for your question 🙂 a chartered engineer means that you have reached a high level of experience and you are recognised by what’s called the ‘engineering council’ as a professional engineer. It doesn’t really give me anything in my current job, but if I decide to apply for another job, it means that the new company will know that I have a good level of experience.

      I passed my interview for Chartership recently so my name should be in the telegraph newspaper next week. Exciting! Oh and I will buy cakes for the office. There is always cakes… 🙂
