I would point out that for every little bit of extra work you do in school, you’ll be rewarded many many times during your life. A lot of opportunities in life are based on what you’ve achieved before, which means that a lot of them stem from what your school results are. Every extra homework problem you solve, or sentence you write, or moment you spend thinking about how to do something will be magnified 1000-fold in your lifetime achievements.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, is as rewarding as doing your best.
Mark’s answer is spot on. Everything you do now to get better results at school will give you many many more options for your career and what you want to spend your life doing.
I can’t tell you the number of people I’ve met that are in a job they don’t like and then tell me they wish they’d worked harder at school.
Sometimes you will feel demotivated or demoralised by the problems you have, but if you try your best you will absolutely experience the benefits of that when you are as old as us lot!
