• Question: What characteristics does your company look for when hiring young engineers?

      That’s a very good question! The key characteristics are not very specific but we look for an inquiring mind and evidence of perseverence – overcoming obstacles of some kind. One of the most important things is a bit of initiative outside of school and study – doing a bit of self-arranged work experience or a personal project of some kind will set you apart from a lot of the other candidates. If you can theme that for the company / job you want then even better! Academic qualifications and lots of A-grades are alright but they’re not the most important thing, practical application is just as good if not better.
