      Now, that’s a broad question!

I’ve embarked onto a PhD because of it, and that changed where I live, and what I do most of the day. It opened my eyes to the practicalities of how science in general, and testing specifically is made, reported, and what really is a scientific discovery.

Researching robotics also showed me how far away we are from the films, books and games when it comes to robots, and how far we have to go to make them even remotely enjoyable in everyday life.

It opened up more career options for me too, if I keep thinking practically.

I am sure there are more ways in which engineering changed my life, but they are all subtle 🙂

I think engineering changed my life quite a lot. I got involved in projects I never thought I will get involved. It offered me the possibility to be a part of the world’s development, and I think I wouldn’t have had the same possibilities if I would have chosen a different field.

Doing a job in engineering has made me so much more aware and appreciative of all the technology in the world that makes our lives easier.

I love that I get to spend my day working with team of people to help solve problems for all sorts of different car companies. You can’t switch your engineering brain off, so whenever I see a car drive past me I always think about how it’s been made and how I could improve it!
