• Question: How did you become an engineer who works with robots?

      Hi Kai,

      It was a bit by accident! I’ve always loved cars & motorsport and always wanted to be a car designer.

      However, as a designer I worked in an office all day, everyday. I have a very short attention span and got bored quickly! I started talking to people who worked in the factory making the cars and it sounded much more exciting.

      I didn’t know much about robots at all when I started my job 3 years ago. That’s great to remember when I speak to new customers as they have all the same questions I did just a few years ago.

      I have to work really closely with car designers as we have to design the car to make it easier for the robots to make. So I often find it’s really useful that I used to work as a designer.
