I get my ideas from reading things, or from talking to people, or from thinking “ok, what would I like a robot to do and it’s realistic?”

From the news 🙂 I have subscribed to a few newsletters, like MIT, which send me a steady stream of news and discoveries. These are very inspirational!

I also read about what other people have done and that gets me some ideas about what to do next with my studies.

I have a somewhat mischievous mind and whenever a new technology arrives my first thoughts are: how can I hack it? How can I make it go past its design limits? This line of thought brings all kinds of ideas to the table 🙂

Ideas can come from anywhere, I try to speak to as many people as possible who study different subjects, including other sciences and people doing things like art or music.
I also do a lot of reading about what other people have already done, I borrow ideas I like from them and try to improve on them.
I also get some ideas from television and movies. Because people who think about science but might not be doing science, also have some pretty good ideas.
Also sometimes ideas come in a dream, but I think that is my brain is still thinking about what I have seen a read whilst I am sleeping haha
